Josh had been around. Really, he had. But there was a time and place for things, and some things he knew he couldn't interfere with. He lived, he meditated, he blessed rooms and water, he made wine, he meditated more. For some of the time, he'd been in a state of nirvana, which had greatly unnerved Biff, since he'd been an invisible disembodied ( Read more... )

Aang has gone to 202 to be sure Michaelangelo isn't having more fits about the former mess.

Instead, he does indeed find Josh.

Rest assured, the boy is thrilled! But surprised. He hasn't seen him for awhile.

Josh looked up with a bright grin, holding up a snack-cake in his hand. "Twinkie?"

As always -- he feels better when he's around Josh.

And gladly, he accepts the twinkie. "Thanks," the boy chirps. "How've you been?"

"I've been one with the universe for a bit. So pretty good," Josh said, making more twinkies. "Mostly I've been thinking."

There's a soft sound of fluttering wings, and a bird flies overhead.

Tobias lands on the rubble of a broken wall and stares at Josh, trying to work out why he suddenly feals all warm and fuzzy inside.

Names still came to him, but not stories. Not all of them.

A name was enough.

"Hello, Tobias."

Josh sat down on a chunk of broken concrete, just looking at the bird.

The bird doesn't react.

That's important, because birds don't react to names.

Tobias, though, is scared. Because this guy shouldn't know his name.

"It's okay," Josh said. "Seriously. I'm not a, what're they called--"

It was hard not having omnipotence.

"I'm...I guess you could say the Ellimist is one of my distant cousins."

A pause.

"You ever read the Bible?"

Johnny's been trying to make a point to be out in the common room more often. Try to make some attempts at being social. Anyway, his room gets mighty boring after a while. Especially if he gets too focused on problems from his world. Like something like good vs. evil matters.

He glanced up and noticed the unfamiliar man in the room.

"You ever heard about the shelf life of those things?" He asked casually.

"175 years, if the cellophane holds up. Give or take," Josh said. Some things he did still remember. They were just never useful.

Ask him how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop! Go on, ask him!

He looked up, with a bright grin. "Hi."

"Sounds about right," Johnny said. "I remember going over it to one of my classes."

If he was telepathic, not psychic, he might have. But as it was, he didn't think to ask.

Instead, he gave a nod of greeting, "Hey, I'm John."

"I'm Josh," Josh said. "Short for Joshua. Anglicized from Yeshua. Bar-Yosef. You can just call me Josh."

Might as well get it all out in the open.

"Like, hi man!"

He cocks his head, thinking.

"We met before?"

"Jeus Christ! That was one helluva thing...How'd you know about.."

He peers closer at the other man.

"OHHHHH. Jesus Christ."

"Right in one. How are you doin', Big Daddy?" Josh asked, all friendly-like. "I hope you've been laying off the hard stuff lately."

Faye is hanging out on the swings. It's her brooding spot--the roof is too crowded--and she is looking up at the sky.

The ever-cloudy sky.

She sees Josh out of the corner of her eye and gives a small wave. "Hello."

Josh smiled and waved back. "Hi." Then he made his way over, tested the swing next to her, and started swinging.

"You shouldn't be out here alone. It's not exactly safe."

"Safer inside the walls than outside." She shrugs a bit. "I needed fresh air, and the roof gets crowded." She pauses.

"I haven't seen you before. I'm Faye."
