Spoon poked his head out the door, blinking, then shrugged. This would probably be a step up from flailing about trying to get things together with Katara; he headed down the stairs.

"Hey. Thank you for coming, and I lied about the punch and pie. Get comfy," Harper told him.

"Do you realise how stupid you look?" Wash asked, wandering over, grinning, "and I see you got your eyesight back, congrats."

"Yes, and double yes, thank God in heaven." He'd found out some other bad news, of course, that he planned to relay, but at least he could see.

He sat down on a piece of stray crap, "What's up?"

"I'll get to that when everyone's here. Just figured we could do with a town meeting."

"I want to know where you got the punch and pie, 'cause I haven't been seeing any," says Veronica (after taking his picture).

Backup barks.

"I lied," Harper said, rocking the trash can a bit. "But I figured people that would otherwise ignore me would come looking for pie. No one can resist pie."

"I like you already."

Veronica grins, swinging her messenger bag onto the ground. "That's exactly how you get public attention."

And this, my friends, isn't sarcasm.

"Trying. To. Sleep," muttered 'Annie,' rolling over onto the floor from her low mattress and grabbing at her (slightly charred) coat, stepping out.

If there was really pie --

Well, that might not be the point.

The point is, she had been awakened, and that was not nice.

On the other hand, hungry.

She went along with it.

"Okay, preemptively? I lied about the pie," Harper was saying to everyone as she came outside. "Sorry. Needed to get everybody we could out here."

Zuko comes out, arms folding over his chest as he lifts his brows. "This that thing you were going to do? Why you asked about 'who was in charge'?" he asks of Harper, looking... less then pleased.

"Uh yeah," he shot back at the prince. "Getting everyone together to talk is what we, in the very scientific, techie future, would call a Good Thing. This ain't gonna work unless we're all talkin'. If you wanna go an' throw your weight around and get into a pissing contest about it fine, but at least let me say my peace and tell everyone what we're gonna need to survive."

Zuko shakes his head. "I don't disapprove of the meeting. Just of how you got people out here." Lying! Bad, Harper, bad!

"It worked, didn't it?" Harper pointed out. "It always works."

What? Lying was lying. Part of life. It got you where you needed to go, got things done when they might not get done sometimes.

And you survived.

That's what mattered.
