War Time--at the Apartments

May 26, 2006 02:13

It's a quiet day, but that doesn't mean that it'll stay that way. Most of the hard-core warriors are off fighting a war, and the Home Team doesn't know if, at the end of the day, they'll see their comrades marching back to them, or a crowd of ravenous Magog running towards them instead ( Read more... )

You guys have some massive firepower, but can you hit the monsters before they reach the wall? They're quick little buggers.

...God forbid they actually REACH the wall and climb up there after you.

Sitting up in one of the wall towers, Munch muses that the best training he could have had for sitting and waiting up here was doing stakeouts for the 1-6. The downside was that there was no Fin for him to banter back and forth with; the upside was that there was no lousy coffee - no coffee at all, actually.

As the Magog get closer, Munch starts shooting. He hopes he's a decent enough shot; this cannon is no where near similar to his service pistol.

But Monk's there, and that has to count for something!

He's hyperventilating and screaming and firing pretty much blindly, but... at least he's not hiding with a bucket over his head this time.

A few curses slip past his lips in the process. Monk's going a bit crazy. But it's a good kind of crazy!

Poor Munch.

Two of the Magog blew apart--vaporized mostly, but the rest ran and bounded over the wall. One landed on the wall RIGHT NEAR THEM, and started screeching in pain as its feet touched the stone.

Josh had blessed the entire wall earlier. They couldn get over it, but they couldn't touch it.

However, the vampire Magog was ignoring the pain and stomping towards Munch, in a blind rage because of the pain it was in.

Somebody's got to hurl things at climbing Magog through the windows, or else they'll get in. Even those who can't fight can bean a Magog or two in the head with a lamp.

To hell with this. She can't just watch.

Mel was supposed to stay inside. But they're under attack now. The second Iroh's voice calls out, she races to her window on the fifth floor, and leaps onto the sill, balancing expertly, and with her left hand bracing. Her right has a throwing stake in it already.

Let's see how good that training was.

And her man is just down another floor, launching his own fireballs out at the incoming. That's one thing they CAN do -- is burn, man, BURN.

The only problem with fire as a weapon on something so flammable, is their annoying habit of moving befor ethey burn.

Mel's first stake misses the heart of the vampire Magog it was aimed at, lodging in it's collar. The second, sent just seconds later, is a much better aim, causing it to erupt in a cloud of dust.

The Vampire-Magog jumped the wall with ease and landed on all fours, rearing up to look at the crunchies waiting for them there, all conveniently lined up.

This is what she's talking about.

Without even blinking, Miho has unleashed two of her swastika-shaped Suriken from within her kimono top.

Neither behead. She wasn't looking to behead. Not yet.

One furry hand goes flying in one direction. A foot falls to the ground elsewhere.

And now her katana are drawn as she glides backwards slightly on her skates.

Decan's not so flashy, he just falls into a relaxed one handed stance and glares at them, his message clear. Bring it.

Delia'd debated for a while where to position herself, or even if she should fight at all. But this was her place now, whether she liked it or not, and she's always been better at killing up close.

So she gives Miho an irritated look - the girl always has to play with her kills, and takes her time, assessing the. . . things. Holy shit, but they're fuckin' ugly.
