Fun and Games. . . ((Timed post-Wake))

It's dawned on Krauser, although still cloudily and with no clear cause, that he's having some sort of problem with talking to people. Sure, not everyone suddenly hates him near the end of typical conversations. And he's getting a better sense of how they're taking what he's saying. But he doesn't like those. . . knowing looks he gets ( Read more... )

Spoon's not very big on the post-wake talking, either, although from the look on his face he approves of Zuko's words. It's just that this is his first real patch of mobility since the Magog hive, and he's not going to waste it. He makes his way out to the practice yard on the crutches, bow and quiver slung across his back, and is silently grateful the targets are capable of being moved without too much effort.

Takes him a moment to note the other man's presence, though. You have to concentrate when you're doing that many things while on crutches.

Krauser's seen background movement. It's not threatening, and he's a little absorbed. His free hand lashes out, stunning his imaginary opponent, and he does a quick sweep and arm lock with his free hand. The knife comes across at neck height. He takes a quick step back as he opens his arm. Then he glances at the targets.

Archery? On one foot? Could be interesting once Spoon gets to full draw. He opens his mouth to offer a throwing spike instead, but maybe Spoon's already found a good way to balance.

He offers a nod.

Spoon nods back and decides the target doesn't have to go any farther. Resettling his grip on the crutches, he makes his way back one step at a time to the firing line. "'lo, Krauser," he says when he gets there. "Y'don't mind, do you?"

With that he lets go of one crutch- he's only got the one injured leg, but the Tiny Tim approach does no one any good these days- and carefullycarefullyCAREFULLY lowers himself down the other to the ground, to one knee. Then he lays the crutch down next to him, and draws the bow.

He's been exchanging blocks with his resurrected imaginary opponent while Spoon works. Now he's about to do a stab high from the left--oops, knife's in the other hand, and coming up into the ribcage from below. "Not at all."

He nods at the bow. "Compound's an advantage." Trying to string a traditional bow with one leg probably wouldn't go too well. He briefly sifts through other topics, but all observations--vampire Magog, injuries, people who weren't injured--lead back to points of suspicion, or Ron. Neither appeals.

He starts another combination.
