Three--two--one--Magog Drill!

Mar 30, 2006 09:32

Krauser's busy on the second floor. There's a window here that's been broken, and he's trying to barricade it without knocking the rest of the glass out. He figures any Magog trying to get through will be unhappier if he leaves it there ( Read more... )

In 202, Quinn looks up from his schematics at the sound of screaming, and winces. "What the hell is that?" he asks of no one in particular- and gets no answer. It can't be good, though...

He folds up the plans he'd been working on for a building-wide telegraph system, shoves them into a pocket, and heads back to his room to grab his rifle and remaining ammo. This can't be good.

He looks behind him in one quick glance, then stares back at his likely target area. Someone has a rifle. Perfect.

"Go check the back wall!"

He thinks the Magog have to be there. There's a lot of people in the way, but he's not really aware of that yet.

Quinn nods to the big man and dashes down the corridor to the stairs. Somewhere between step two and step five it occurs to him-

He'll check the back wall, but he's poking his head in the infirmary first. People who can't get up and leave need to be accounted for and informed.

Tom had spent the past few hours looking for the names that the man Zuko had mentioned. AS far as he was concerned he was still looking. He wasn't a soldier-he was a goddamn pilot and he was better suited to being a cop then anything else.

However the screaming is just slightly alarming.

Tom hasn't stopped wearing his weapon since they arrived-raising his weapon and looking warily around.

"-shitshitshitshitshit-"

Spoon was out at archery practise when the screaming started. Immediately he fires his last arrow, slings the bow over his shoulder, runs forward to yank the arrows out of the target, and runs for the building. Someone's got to man the guns. Not to mention the command structure's all in there-

"Iroh? IROH!"

He was alone in their room. And considering the current situation, the fact that the wall starts screaming and Sokka looks up from his sketches and realizes he's alone in the room--

Well, it doesn't go well. He's up with club and boomerang a moment later, running to find Katara, make sure she's still inside.

For whatever reason, he's thinking the Magog are less likely to be out there than his idiot sister.

Well, outside and inside the wall was better than outside both building and wall.

Jogging up to her, Sokka has a hand on her shoulder while he looks around at all the chaos, just to get her attention. "Where is Zuko?" he calls over the sound of the wall. "And have you heard or seen anything else?"

They should have scaled the wall by now, right?

Illyria does not yet know what all the screeching is about, but she had told Zuko that she would examine the defense systems for any weakness. If this was a function of the defense system in question, she might be able to catch whatever was attempting to enter in the process and see what had gone wrong.

She heads out to the front of the building, this time blue as ever, having neither the inclination nor the time to shift her appearance to that of a mortal.

Methos doesn't waste time with niceties like stairs when he hears the alarm. He just grabs his sword and jumps out his second floor window, landing casually on his feet a few yards away from the blue-haired woman, no worse for the twenty-foot drop.

"New here?" he asks her. "You might want to grab a weapon from the room we laughingly call an armory. These things can be pretty nasty."

[ooc: :D!]

Illyria eyes him curiously.

"In a manner of speaking, I suppose I am new."

New enough to have gotten distracted before ever finding the armory, in any case. Which is likely good for everyone else in the building.

"Where is it?"

He thinks a moment, then shakes his head.

"You know, I actually have no idea. I brought mine with me. Probably one of the rooms in 202; that's where everything else seems to be. Anyone give you the rundown of what we're expecting here?"
