Day 15 - Favorite female character - Buffy Summers: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Probably no big surprise here to anyone who knows me. Perhaps I shouldn't be exclusive to Buffy as I have to admit, I almost like Meleka Fray better. Either way, slayers in general. They didn't sign up for their gig. They're thrust into a life where they're destined to die at a pretty young age. I think Kendra was more typical of how young a slayer is when they die than Buffy and Faith surviving as long as they have.
As to Buffy, I just find her journey heroic. There were times she bitched about her calling, times she made poor choices, but overall she did what she felt was right for the world's survival. Was she always right? Well, no, but who is? And at 16, it's a pretty heavy weight to have on your shoulders the survival of the world.
