I didn't like the Scholar's Forester when he bought it because of the "like an SUV" issue but I haven't found it particularly uncomfortable otherwise. It's his car, though. It doesn't use any more gas than my little Impreza.

But I feel the same - so glad we've 'met'. And I've been meaning to comment on the kindergarten posts for two days now. Congrats on getting her registered! And I don't think it'll be confusing, if you've told her you're not sure which school she'll be attending but will let her know as soon as possible. I can't wait for Maggie's registration on May 8.

I'm definitely a very tactile shopper, especially when shopping for clothes -- when I used to have time to browse rather than looking for something specific, I actually would often find the things that I wanted to try on first by touch and only then look at them. It doesn't feel like trying on ownership or anything like that, but I suppose that could be part of it subliminably.

Glad that you have an option with the pre-owned lot that leaves the Forester still on the table.
