Ugh, it's been disgustingly hazy hot and humid lately, with no end in sight. I mean, I've had worse, but that doesn't make it fun. Thank God for central air conditioning.
Spent another four hours weeding and picking things out of my veggie garden on Sunday morning; I had to get up at 6a in order to get it done before it got too meltingly hot.

Can you maybe buy some of the bulkier stuff online, and have it delivered to her dorm address? Maybe she doesn't have her dorm fridge on day one - but it will give her stuff to do in that time between arriving and classes starting, if she is getting deliveries and unpacking stuff and still having things to set up?

I remember Barack Obama admitted to bawling after taking his elder daughter to Harvard. I'm not a huge crier, but my husband is, and I think it will be very weird to have MiniPlu gone for three months. (And then possibly weirder to have her back again!)

Glad to hear Gem is doing fine. Hope she didn't catch anything. Quarantined ... poor thing. It's such a 2020 thing. *rofl*

And lol - yeah, even the cat has to be quarantined in 2020! :P (We've jokingly wished that we could just put a face mask on her and let her out.)

I have a feeling that 2-hour window will be enforced because of COVID, but we'll see. And because of that window, we don't plan on doing any local shopping. If we have to unload and then leave pronto, there wouldn't be time to shop and bring stuff back, you know? Better to have it all with us already. Move-in times will range from 8a to 5p and I'm dearly hoping it's somewhere in the noon-4p (assuming the final window starts at 5p, not ends at 5p) window because otherwise we'll have to be up before dawn (4 hour drive) or be back super-late, you know?
Good to know what you were able to fit in. And thanks for the tips!
