Life, or something like it.

I am really sorry not to have given any actual update of any real value in weeks. It always just felt like such a big task, late at night when I was tired and not able to put words together in meaningful sentences. But the longer I go, the bigger the task gets, so ... I'm going to do my best to sum up what's been going on:

End of school year - finals/grades )

crohns, trans, books, school:miniplu, school:two

Currently enjoying a few days visiting a friend in Boston. We had a long day of sightseeing today, but it was less crazy than regular life, at least. :)

Aww I love your tshirt for the parade! It sounds like a wonderful first-Pride experience for you both! Did anyone take you up on the mom-hugs?

That is so odd about the teal requirement. We didn't have the drape things for portraits. In our high school, for grade 12 photos, we were given robes with the stole in the school colours (red, white and gold(yellow)). The boys were given a rolled up parchment to hold - I guess it was supposed to be a diploma? The girls were given a bouquet of roses.

I remember my brother being offended that only the girls got roses - so he demanded the bouquet for his photo, LOL. He got it, too.

Here's hoping that your summer gives you some breathing time!

Only one lady asked for a hug, and I was happy to give it to her. But I also saw a LOT of other people - both marchers and watchers, wearing "Free mom/dad hugs" - so there were plenty of hugs to go around!

I hope they also allowed girls to hold the "diploma" if they wanted!

Happy Summer Break! I did type up something to sum up my last few weeks of school. It's here on DW if you'd like to read it (and haven't already). ♥
