You are ON TOP of your shit, lady! Go you and the other 2 moms for being all over the trip details and being able to just shut down the school's initial Frowny Face response. Hopefully MiniPlu has an amazing time at the conference!
Your trip sounds like a combination of awesome and frustration - but at least you managed to enjoy yourselves despite the others inability to navigate the park (LOL). Why did Rob go along (and presumably pay for access to the parks) if he wasn't going to participate?
But hooray for working the passes! that's awesome!
I was SO glad we were that well informed, and that we had all this evidence of careful forethought and safeguards to present to the teacher. So far we haven't been asked to sign paperwork at the high school, but, seriously - did they really just think we would be all, "Oh, sure, honey, you can go across the country on your own. Why should we look into this and verify it's a good idea?" I trust MiniPlu, and she's got good, generally well-behaved friends, but still - of COURSE we were going to be informed before making a decision. Sheesh

So - I can see being forcibly separated from his computer, in order to get a vacation - I've absolutely been known to work on vacation if I take my laptop with me - I've been trying VERY hard to NOT bring my computer with me on trips - and it helps a lot :D
I guess as long as he has his own expectations of what his vacation will look like - and is satisfied/happy with that - then it works - everyone should be able to design a vacation that works for them.
But it sucks that he was unhappy about the consequences of his own self-imposed restrictions - that's not fair to the rest of you!
Oooh ... Disney again? Glad you had a good time. But why doesn't Rob take part in the activities? It doesn't make sense to travel there and then stay in the hotel, does it? I'm just wondering ...
Hope all goes well with the girls' trip ... but what a hassle!
No, I got it, right on time. I've just been an absolutely dreadful correspondent this week, either running around like a nutjob, or too brain dead to form comprehensible sentences, so my apologies for the radio silence. :P But I got it: no unicorns, no food. (No small non-edible, non-unicorn housewarming gifts?)
