Ok, so I'm not thrilled with the idea that, as the parent of an LGBT kid, and with LGBT friends, I might somehow be violating the new Russian-based ToS by posting about my life. However, I'm not convinced the Russian federation is going to find out and yell at me/throw me out, given how many accounts are out there. I have a permanent account, so

Unless things get really ridiculous, I'm sticking with LJ. I like it better than DW, though I do have everything backed up there.

I'm a wait and see kind of person in most things anyway. Plus, I never read TOS's, so who knows what I've agreed to since I started living my life online? LOL!

I have a DW account just in case (manuleanders) but will probably stay at LJ until it gets worse.

I'm not moving. I do have a dreamwidth, and will backup/crosspost, but I prefer LJ.

How do you download your journal? I keep going back and forth on this, but one thing I would like to do is download my years of journals.

I no longer remember what I used (and I haven't used it in years; really need to do it again one of these days), but there's an LJ comm with some suggestions here.

I was realizing the other day that I've been on LJ for 15 years now. O_o Who woulda thunk it?
