Jullienne's Anti-insanity Survival Kit

Sep 06, 2009 21:34

Life has been absolute crap lately, and yesterday I hit an all-time low. I was depressed, stressed out, miserable, and found myself with no outlet at home. Today, I woke myself up, went out, found distractions, met with friends, and bought an anti-insanity survival kit so that the next time I hit rock bottom I won't find myself in the mental ( Read more... )

That is a delightful survival kit, I think I may need to make myself one! Although then I'd find just any excuse to use it!
Are those pills over the counter??

I think I'm going to (eventually) get that book by Lauren Conrad. I like how's there's an audio version of it as well... maybe I can download that or something.

Haha my housemate and I have actually downed half of the vodka bottle already LOL. Yes, those pills are over-the-counter. For some reason, people don't get addicted to pills in this country (Philippines), and rules are lax when it comes to prescription drugs. I was actually surprised, because I haven't had to use pills for GAD since last year and I can't find my prescription. Iterax is really easy to get probably because it's also used for allergies. It does wonders for me, however - my palpitations, heaviness of the heart, pulsating veins and general worries magically disappear when I take it. It's a relaxant - you get really drowsy with it.

About LA Candy - I hope the book's good! No-brainer chic lit's my guilty pleasure sometimes. ;) I didn't know there's an audio book! It's probably not going to be released here.

I'll see if I can find the audio for you, Lauren recorded it herself I do believe.
You've inspired me today, I went out and bought some Hot Chocolate even though it feels like 1000 degrees outside.

So sorry you're down... hope your survival kit does the trick. *hug*

(I'm sure you already know, but please be so careful about not combining the anxiety meds and the alcohol!)

Thanks Jess. Yep I'm careful about alcohol and meds mixing - I don't wanna die, heh. I sure could've used the Iterax last night though - I couldn't sleep because the heaviness in my chest wouldn't go away. Tonight though I feel much better. I only bought the meds for the next emergency. Hopefully, I won't need to use them. I'm so wary about taking meds that take away your ability to feel things.

just thinkin maybe you don't need all those except that book, swiss choco, and cadburry bar. You have all people around who loves you, they are just a txt or an email away...there are neighbors who love you specially! By the way is the pill you have prescribed by doc.?

Hey Ate Weng. You forgot your name, good thing you messaged me on Twitter. Yes I need all those. Neighbors who love me, heh. That didn't work out. Luckily I do have friends and family like you I can run to. Yes don't worry those pills were prescribed by the doc to me last year.
