At the Aquarium, we use cloth diapers for most of our cleaning because they are so soft. They don't scratch the acrylic and are long lasting. Perhaps you can save them for those sorts of tasks. People buy them for that sort of stuff all the time. So, if Isabel and mom are no longer up for using them, then that is an option. But good for you for trying!

As for motivation... *sigh* I can't help you there. I'm in the same boat, right next to ya. Can't you see me holding the paddle and not doing anything else with it? lol

Hey, we could get a whole boat load of us together. We could all just sit there together and stare at the water wondering why we're not going anywhere.

Good idea. I only hope one of us is at least motivated enough to bring snacks. Or wine.

Ohhhh, I think my motivation might even stretch to home made brownies for that. it just doesn't stretch to house work.

Cloth diapers make good burping cloths. And bibs and towels like Mag said^

Sorry about the diapers! If you decide to dump them (har) and go with disposables, Toys R Us/Babies R Us has a (free) rewards card. If you buy certain brands of diapers in the super jumbo boxes (which are worth the large chunk of money at once...sooooooo much cheaper than the normal-sized packs you can get anywhere) you get the 10th box free. Size doesn't matter as long as you stick to the same brand ( ... )

Oh, AND with the rewards card, every $250 you spend (which can add up quickly espesh if you buy diapers there!) you get a $5 off certificate. Not much, but every bit helps.

Oooh, thanks for the tip. Even if I do stick with cloth for the time being, I still want to keep disposables around for when we go places. I think I'm also going to use them during the nights. Cloth feels wetter faster, and I don't need a cranky, awake baby at night.

I'm with the "use 'em for cleaning" crowd.

As for motivation...

Good sleeper or no, babies are exhausting! What with the lifting and burbing and swinging and feedings...and the just staring at her 'cause she's amazing takes up some time and energy! Don't be so hard on yourself! :)

Yeah, I think you're right...I do spend a ton of time just staring at her. Even when I do get a break, I just want to spend it sitting and relaxing - and waiting for her to wake up!
