I ended up getting up at just the right time, to get outside at just the right time, to get a photograph of the 5 Planets and the Moon in Alignment.

Kit used: Canon 5D3, 8-15mm fisheye lens.

This was the first time there has been a full moon on December 25th since 1977. The next time this will happen is 2034.

Composite image, 1st image focused on the bird, 2nd image focused on the rising moon.

Yes, Thank Goodness It's Monday.

Have been running full on for the past week, especially this weekend. Two Canon Collective photo sessions. One was supposed to be sunset shoot at the Shelley Jetty, south of Perth, but the weather didn't cooperate. We had a fallback plan; light painting.

I knew when the transit was supposed to occur, so I was set up and ready to go. There was about a 15 second break/thinness in the clouds, and I took 6 photos.

I really didn't think I had gotten anything.
