Cats are strange creatures...

My cat has a fascination with all things stringy. No... rather, it’s an obsession.

A hair band? A piece of string? A stringed needle? One of those plastic/metal thingies they use to keep bread bags closed? A rubber band? The red string for easy openage of cracker packages? The string of yarn going from my knitting to the yarn ball? In her eyes, ( Read more... )

Hahaha! That was terribly cute. I just bought a hamster few days ago and now I want a cat. What's her name btw? She can stay in my house anytime. XD

Thanks! It's always funny when she gets into one of her hunting moods. XD

Cats are wonderful companions, and incredibly cute, but they live a long time (fifteen years, at least... some make it to twenty) and need much more attention than a hamster (plus they all have at least one annoying quirk) ...they're a pretty big responsibility. That said, if you think you can handle it, go to your local pet rescue and pick one. There's not enough people willing to take a homeless cat home...

She's Dido. She already came to me with that name, otherwise she would have been the victim of my weird naming sense... if you don't believe me, ask Brandy, Sherry, Vodka and Mimosa, my mice. XD

Dido is a cute name. But Brandy, Sherry, Vodka and Mimosa are just Wow! \o/ \o/ \o/ Remind me of liquors. hahah!

I don't think I can get a cat even if I want to. I live in a apartment building with the no-pets-allowed stuff. OTL

Actually it all started with Brandy, a stunted little mouse I had to bottle-feed since he was ten days old and recovering from an attack from my cat... though she was only trying to play with him; she didn't seem to want to actually harm him. The thing is, Brandy was left with a mark on his back from the attack, and that inspired his name... mark = brand = Brandy! And since that sounds exactly like the alcoholic drink, when I decided to keep two of his sisters I decided to give them matching names. Thus Vodka and Sherry.... Mimosa came later, and since she was joining the family I gave her a matching name, too. :D ( ... )

THAT IS TOO CUTE. I admire her restraint in not hopping up onto the table to eat it.

And she does sort of resemble my Pom--they have the same black-and-white face mask, except Pom is much fluffier. (Her full name, according to the roommates, is Pomegranate Fluffermuffin. -_-)

Well, she learned early on that the table is off-limits, but you can bet that was on her kitty mind. XD

How I wish you could show us some pictures... Pom sounds really cute.

(My Dido is just Dido... though she is at risk of having her name absurdly elongated if ever I get bored with it. I've got a weird sense of humour when it comes to names... ^^U)

I personally find that hilarious XD
(also, the video isn't working for me but I'm pretty sure it's just because my connection sucks, vidoes no longer work for me. ever)

It is, until you need to find a hair band to gather your hair up and realize you no longer have any, because your cat's ruined/eaten all of them already. I don't bother buying new ones any more. ^^U

(oh, pity. She's not her predator best in this video, but close.)
