Pictures of my furry family!

Well, I promised pictures of my furry family, so here they are:

Some of the babies, enjoying a snooze in my hand.

Just the white babies this time. There are four of them, and while their fur is still growing, they look a very soft shade of pink. :3
The picture is blurry because my camera doesn't have a good definition for such close-ups. The babies ( Read more... )

The littlest furries are really quite adorable. And kitty looks like she would be very interested in them, too. Oh, I like the way Michelle looked right at the camera.

Thanks for sharing the cute pix!

Aren't they? :3
Well, my cat definitely has that idea going around that kitty head of hers, but I'm very careful that she doesn't get the chance to put it into practice. She'll eventually get the message that no, the mice tank isn't an all-you-can-eat buffet. (I don't understand how people could breed mice to feed snakes, honestly. I know that's the natural order of things, but how do they manage not to get attached to them, when they're so cute? >_<)

Michelle is very sweet-tempered, and has let me take several pictures of her... while Cathy is the very definition of camera-shy. She won't stay still for a second. ^^U

AS;DKJADS

THEY ARE SO TINY.

I thought you were holding...I'm not sure what. I didn't think they were babies. So cute *_*

Your cat is adorable as well XD

You should have seen them when they were just born... I could hold all twenty-three of them in the palm of a hand with room to spare. Now I can't hold more than five or six, because they squirm so much that they'd be in danger of falling (I'm very careful that doesn't happen; they're so small, a fall coull kill them). The bigger babies are about an inch and a half long now (sans tail). And they grow by the day! The white ones are almost completely white now. And there are two or three that seem to be completely black, too. Together, they look positively adorable... :3
It's such a pity my camera doesn't take good picture of them, their tiny little whiskers and ears have to be the most adorable thing I've ever seen. And you should see them when they yawn!! I swear, they're so cute I could eat them. X3

Yes, she's cute. And she knows it, and never lets me forget it. XD

All twenty-three of them? What, were they a little bigger than the size of a pill, or something? They do look adorable together. I want to hug them all~ Aww, you talking about their whiskers and tails and yawning makes me want one of my own (I'd never be allowed to have one, but yeah).

LOL Sounds like most cats I know.

Something like that, yeah. They were positively tiny... So tiny that I was afraid I might hurt them when picking them up. The really funny thing is that when they were born they already had whiskers, despite being completely hairless everywhere else. I'd never seen such tiny wiskers before (since I'd only ever had hamsters before, and hamster mommies don't let you get anywhere near their babies until they're weaned). X3

I'm handling them daily so that they grow up used to people (unlike their mothers, who are wary of me even now), so these babies are going to make great pets... Pity you live so far; I'd give you one of them (when they're old enough), or at least let you hold them. ^__-

They are indeed adorable. :) Do they make any noises yet, or are they too tiny?

They are, aren't they? :3
It's such a pity my camera isn't good enough to take good pictures of them up close... >_<

They've been making noises since the day they were born. Baby mice chirp very much like birds (though some may say they squeak), particularly when they're annoyed (like when six other siblings are crawling all over them, for instance). They actually get quieter as they get older, and by the time they're adults they don't make any kind of noise at all - at least, not ones humans are able to hear. They communicate in very high frequencies; higher than our ears are able to catch, though you may feel the vibrations in your skin if you are holding them in your hand. Cathy is a chatterbox in that respect, though since she doesn't trust me much yet I don't suppose what she says is very flattering to me and my ancestry... XD

XD Sweet... See, these are the things I'd love to know about the world, but I would normally never find out, because I don't keep pets. ;_;

But there are things that you can find out if you don't keep pets... like what it feels like to have extra money because you don't need to buy special food for your cat who has a weak stomach, or how a bedroom smells like when you don't have to keep the mice tank in there to keep them safe from your cat, or what it feels like to wear clothes that aren't completely covered in cat hair, not to mention the freedom of being able to travel without having to find someone to take care of your pets while you're away ( ... )
