Had a wonderful birding session at Lalbagh this morning with deponti,birdonthewire,Mahesh,wild_guy and Jaimone. And we had some lovely sightings of Ashy Drongo,Golden Oriole,the 2 Spotted Owlets (affectionately called Sainath's Spotted Owlets .. SSOs) and also the 2 Mottled Wood Owls (Yes,Yes.. the ones which we desperately wanted to see) along with the other common ones.

I agree with Mamta. Perhaps you should have waited for me to post you the pics you took on the S3, but the way the new laptop is behaving (as if the Internet is some plague that it wants no part of)..I am glad you didn't wait.

Excellent write up as usual. I was actually surprised to know that the Mottled Wood Owl has such a big wings!

Papa Gubbe...cant sleep/rest in peace...was feeling sad for them.
