Now, see, this is what I love about fandom: interpretation. Personally, I think Ryan plays dumber than he is and Sharpay rolls her eyes at him, not because her brother is an idiot, but because he's laying it on too thick. *shrug* I've thought about this a lot, about how completely different Ryan is when he drops the act almost entirely and experiences some characterization rather than being a two-dimensional foil for Sharpay. I'm not saying that's the right interpretation, but it's the one I'm going with. Unless they joss my fanon in the third movie and tell us he's dyslexic or something.

Anyway, thank you! This fandom hit me like a freight train and I've sort of been writing non-stop for a few days. There'll be more fic soon, I'm sure. ;)

This was awesome! So wonderfully written, hot and cute and... it had everything I need in a really good Chyan fic. But I agree with poppyfields13 there, I don't think Ryan is smart enough to be a tutor in English. The whole 'G-O go dra-' thing really sucks but it's there and I can't ignore it in my sight of Ryan. But other than that your story is one of the best I've read in a while.

Thank you so much! And, yeah, I explained my interpretation of that scene to her. I think he plays dumber than he really is. Eventually I'll probably write fic about why I think that and his reasonings behind it, but that's the lovely thing about fanfic: everyone interprets things differently. :)
