It's not a resolution, 'cause I'm allergic to those

I do, however, like the ideas of:
  • Eating seasonally, locally, and on-salely foods
  • Making less trips to the grocery store
  • Saving money
  • Eating more healthily
  • Using what's already in my fridge/pantry instead of throwing it away when it goes bad and buying more

Menu planning :) this is always on my list of things to master!! (or even to attempt for more than 2 weeks) Even with My hubby's strange schedule and not being home everyday- I can't seem to get it together... Your week looks yummy, I will be there are on Thursday- That garlic lime chicken a la' Antof9 sounds yum!! :)

Happy new year to you!!

PS: I love lists too! But I think you might have caught on with that on my blog!

I love to cook, but I get so frustrated when it's close to dinner time, I don't know what to fix, and we're both getting hungier and hungrier. I figure this way, I'll have the groceries on hand, and I've already thought about what I wanted to fix at a time when I wasn't tired OR hungry, so at 5:00 or so, I can just start fixing it, instead of moping around :)

I absolutely support the eating more seasonally... but I go at least every second day (under the week rather every day) to the grocery store to get this or that... we usually decide during the day what we fancy for dinner (except when it's defined by the things we already have at home, so all meat packages from P's mother last us at least two days, so we need to plan in advance what we'll do on both days).
But then, I pass several grocery stores on the way home, so it works without additional hassles.

You're fortunate in that 1. you can walk or take public transport to your grocery store, and 2. you leave the house most days. Since we both work from home and have to get in the car to go to the grocery store, I'm really hoping to cut down on those trips. We'll see if it works :)
