Every time I start to feel decent about running again, something comes up and sets me back again. Today it was falling off a pine cone and spraining my ankle. I am SO. ANGRY

Oh that really sucks. REALLY. Have you gone to the doctor? Just to make sure it's only a sprain? And, you know, for something to do? As much as you do errands for your parents I'm sure one of them could get you there so Tony doesn't have to take off work.
Nah, I don't need to go to the doctor, I know from what happened and how it feels that it's not at all severe (a textbook Grade I inversion sprain, to be specific). I'm doing everything they've taught us for acute sprains (rest, ice, compression, elevation), and I can hobble/hop around the house if I need to. Plus it was my left ankle this time, so if I need to drive, I can still drive. I'm mostly just annoyed. Thanks for caring!
It just totally wasn't worth the effort or the quarter-mile walk from where I park for free to go into class this afternoon or the $6 to park across the street. Tomorrow will be different and interesting.
And my computer came back up, so I can at least do writing assignments without having to quasi-listen. I (and my classmates stuck in class) consider this a win! (Except for the part where my ankle hurts and I'll be massively behind in running by the time I can get back to it again.)
During class yesterday, my class friends IM'ed me and told me I picked a good day to hurt myself :P I also decided to skip brain-rotting class tomorrow at 8am -- normally I don't terribly mind sitting there like a zombie for 2 hours while I don't listen but get other schoolwork done because otherwise I'd be sleeping and would have to do it some other time; tomorrow I feel I can do that from home just fine with my ice pack and without the boring powerpoint presentations on boring articles nobody read, not even the presenters
( ... )
pretty much! But then Tony came home, I reviewed my special tests, and we watched Pulp Fiction, which doesn't do it for me like everyone LOVES that movie. So it got better once I stopped moving :)
Well I have 7 now, that's one of the reasons I got it (also, $30 student rate. Also, Vista.) It ended up finishing maybe 5 minutes after I added that from my phone, which was still a good 20 min shorter than when I did have Vista. It also likes to freeze after startup on occasion, but I think that's more a hardware issue. And oh yeah, Startup repair has never actually repaired anything.
Also, that was a very long Longcat, and I only got parts of it.

And I know you want to do well in May, but please don't stress out about being speedy. We'll run at whatever pace we run at. You get to choose :-)
