All I can think of if he isn't the next voice we hear like in the movie, he's a sadist who enjoys watching us hurt and kill each other in the name of religion. I mean what's preventing him from talking to us like he did in the old days? If he exists the ball is in his court so to speak otherwise atheism, agnosticism and nonerism will continue to grow worldwide until eventually the religious believers will be a tiny minority all over the world.

I wish I could agree with you, but look who was just elected President. Logic and reason don't seem to be a major factor here.

Oh I don't think it will happen in the foreseeable future but maybe by the end of this century if we survive that long now that Mr Deplorable will be the president (and of course if god exists and finally does put an end to all this religious violence by talking to us then it also won't happen).

I just said farewell to my bible thumping dad who finally came to visit us for the first time in 5 years. I told myself, don't engage, don't engage. But he kept acting all sanctimonious and using words that I could tell he didn't know the meaning of, because he never thought of it. Finally he condemned all of the Catholic church because something about horse leading the cart or some such metaphor he used
