I've never watched someone I love waste away before. This is, by far, one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever borne witness to. I'm so sorry to hear this. Watching a loved one age is challenging enough, but when they suffer, it's devastating. I don't doubt his spirits are buoyed by your presence though. I'm glad you're there, both for his sake and yours. That time is precious!

I've never really seen anyone suffer through chemotherapy before. The whole thing makes me viscerally ill. He knows he's lost anything that was left of that "young" feeling. And they want to do more surgeries on him, they said. Where does this end? How much can a person's body take of all this?
