כשואלים אותי איזו שירה אני כותב, ואני עונה, כמקובל במקומותינו, שאני "כותב בעיקר שירים של ביאליק", מכריי שמכבר מחייכים בעייפות, ואילו השואלים מעווים את פניהם במבוכה. קיים לפחות תקדים אחד לכתיבה מסוג זה: בתחילת המאה העשרים חיבר צרפתי בשם פייר מנאר מספר פרקים מתוך הרומן דון קיחוטה. יצירותיו האחרות של מנאר מרתקות לא פחות (לדעתי - אף יותר). קרובה ללבי

I have a vague recollection of you reciting "Tiger" at some obscure roof party or other. I chuckle at it now, overwhelmed, as I did then.
It's a beautiful piece, regardless of its original context, and I can't be sure whether you neglected to present the origin on purpose or on account of sheer laziness, so here it is. You can always kill this comment or shake your finger at me reproachfully. >:^)

As for your request - Amichai's poem has already been translated - it would take some effort to locate the translation, though. The poem is very tricky, but not worth the effort in my opinion (I do not like Amichai).
By & by, I will take offense if you won't add me to your Friends list in your LJ - I am fussy that way :-)
