we had a snow day today. Mostly this was nice, but there came a point late in the afternoon when I had a legitimate freak-out for no legitimate reason. Irrationally, I felt that if the snow kept falling, I would be buried alive ( Read more... )

Man, I really *wish* that a) I was into figure skating enough to justify having one of these, and b) I changed my icon from the default EVER, because these are totally awesome. I love 16! oh, and 17. And 22! And 27--and 28, and 29, and 30, and 31 ahahaha, and 40 awww, and 45! that is gorgeous. Alas, I know myself well enough by now--never ever do I switch from the cuneiform, which I guess is totally metaphorical for my life or something. Whatever, these are amazing. ♥!

I have been *consumed* by figure skating lately; now that the Olympic skating is over, I'm like, is it March yet?? Can it be March 22nd NOW?! (World Championships.) So it's nice of you to humor me! :D

I appreciate that your default is always the same. It's nice to know at a glance who's there, and even by now I really do associate it with you pretty strongly. Hittites, right?

(Oh, and on the off chance you don't know and are curious, there's a story behind icon 31; it's not me being mean. :P In 2005, Jeremy Abbott was skating in the US Junior Championships, and when asked about his chances of winning, he said, "Stranger things could happen; pigs could fly." He then proceeded to win, so now it's A Thing with his family and fans.)

Thank you! I found them via some picspam somewhere, but I believe the original source is song2sing, who has kindly linked them all in a comment here, along with a couple of youtube vids. I keep looking through them because it's such a charming, cheering set of pictures. <3
