::hugs back:: I'm sorry you didn't get the job.

I really need to find someone I can talk to about programs that are good fits for my interests *and* that I could potentially get into. Unfortunately, although both my thesis advisor and one of my committee members are social psychologists, they haven't been at all helpful with recommendations. I mean, they give them, but the people they recommend tend to be either super-famous or no longer actively doing research.

I'm glad you're feeling okay. But even if you were kind of expecting it, I'm sure there was that little glimmer of hope, too.

Good luck for the next round of applications. (You deserve an award just for completing them at all!)
