Whitefox got rebooted due to a power problem, then the raid card refused to boot up because its hold-up battery is dead. We've been thus-far unsuccessful at convincing it to not give a damn. Seriously shitty hardware ( Read more... )

6) replace the dead battery? sorry if it sounds obvious, didn't see it mentioned.

No replacement available with the right voltage that is rechargable. Got it to come alive with a capacitor and temporary usage of a power supply, but now the raid card is not happy with 2/4 disks.

Only if there was a long complicated java program involved that could have just been a simple shell script. :)
