Rapunzel and Orihime ... Similar?

For a few days now I have been thinking about two female characters that I adore, one belonging the newest Disney Princess while the other belonged to the very popular anime Bleach and I noticed how very similar the two are very similar to each other yet one is praised while the other gets a lot of hate. I honestly think the biggest is that Rapunzel doesn't have anyone she is being compared to. Unfortunately Orihime is being held up against the likes of Rukia, Rangiku etc. and to many she doesn't measure up(although not to me, I like her). Plus Bleach is filled with extra-ordinary females that make Orihime's abilities pale in comparison.

Many don't look past the obvious and see she really is a caring person that will anything to protect those she loves.

U do have a point ... I just got so confused when people who r not orihime fans liked Rapunzel and I was like "huh?"
*sigh* it's sad when people don't see how much depth is put into her charecter, which does not require to swing around a sword to be awesome
