I've just gone out with Holly.  We went to get her a digital converter and then went to a store that was having a massive going out of business sale.  She got many, many new sheets of high quality and moderate price.   I got a couple too.  None of them are as nice (or expensive) as that other one I got but they are all better than the other sheets ( Read more... )

I have just made some pasta with a pumpkin sage cream sauce.  It is far better than anyone else thought it would be, but I knew it would be good.  The oatmeal cherry cupcakes were a disappointment though.

Liz has brought me her rats.  I will be looking after them while she is on her boat.  The dogs love this idea.

I don't text people.  While I see how it could be useful to some people it is not to me.  Friday I was at a concert and was sitting very close to a speaker.  Earplugs were a must.  In order to have a conversation the phones came out.  No need to send the messages just type them in and show the person your phone.

Proper way to ask for something:  Can you get dog food?

Improper way to ask:  I fed the dogs, but not enough because we've run out of dog food.  I can't get any because I am a feeble old person who has already saved three lives today.

I just uploaded a video but I think it was the wrong one.  I was supposed to be baby duck things (I don't actually know if they are ducks) but I suspect it is guinea pigs.  The video isn't working yet so I have to wait and see.

Edit: Yep, super dark guinea pigs with the dog.

I've been wanting egg rolls for a while but, like with many things, if I want some I have to make it myself.  So, with the Olympics being in China the opening ceremonies were the perfect excuse.  On Friday I made, with much help from my minions, egg rolls and chow mien.  We also found a really good sweet and sour sauce to go with the egg rolls.  ( Read more... )
