Though you were very quick in responding with rat names it turns out that you were mostly too late.  I have gone with the elements theme.  The black hooded rat is Terra.  The Siamese is Azula.  The two blue hooded rats are Skylar and Mizumi.  Azula is something of a biter although she never draws blood.  I've taken some pictures that I'll put up ( Read more... )

Yesterday my friends gave me my Christmas present. It was a large cage with bedding, food, a food bowl and water bottle. Then we went to the pet store and got rats for the cage. I'm up because I have to be getting to work, but first I'll have to defrost it. The thing is covered in ice. This is a novel experience for me.

We are out of leftovers. That didn't take long.

I got home not long ago from my fifth straight work day. I know what you are thinking, what a wuss right? Except I have to go back tomorrow before eight. So, I'm still wussy but I have a reason to whine. Two other people have managed to pull the same schedule so we shall all be grumpy and inflict ourselves on others.

I made lasagna on Friday and took it to Joel's place. I was going to be for dinner or lunch the next day. He had already made the kids some dinner. The microwave was not used. I didn't stay long but I did get a visit with one of the rats. She was very white and smelled sweet.

Now that I have Liz's rats the pigs are demanding equal treatment.  Instead of hiding in their cage all the time they want out to explore.  That's fine, except I have to mop a lot more.  I'm so glad I don't have carpet.  Here is a video of the rats getting dinner.
