I was completely disgusted with the whole idea of school today, so I ignored my homework altogether and did some cleaning. I picked up a huge messy pile of papers that's been under one of my chairs since the summer, and threw most of it away. I vacuumed in several directions. I did a little bit of proper cooking

Whenever I feel out of it, or wish I could be out of it, I start organizing things, sweeping, or doing the cat litter. In the end, I'm ready for company and the house is spotless, but I'm sweaty and too bogged down to receive it.
It might just be that this is the storm for you? Maybe the big ascent you have to take a detour from every now and then. It might be depressing that you have to resort to (productive) procrastinating but the means are liberating.

My house is still far from spotless, but at least it's a bit better then it was. I wish I could figure out a way to sort papers and wash dishes and draw wretched typography grid layouts all at the same time. That way I could finish my homework and have flat empty surfaces to set things (like my dinner) on.
Then, while I was doing that, I could send my clone/evil twin/astral projection to buy groceries, since I'm out of everything.
