The speed at which I can sew up what the Japanese Sewing Society considers the "average" tear. This slightly differs from the standard average of the International organization, in that it is more demanding.

When dealing with a tear in fabric approximately seven inches long, I can sew it in 1.56 seconds, at most 2.02 when securing against loosening stitches.
