Wow. I can see this, it is so clear and crisp and freaking on point. It's impossible, but you may be converting me to a Kate/Ben shipper...a pairing I never ever considered while watching the show; yet here is seems to fit, totally in character and possible. There are years unspoken in so few words. And that last line? Awesome. Her calling him by the full Benjamin is so fitting. Very well done.

Very nice little ficlet, and I love the idea of putting Ben into any type of romantic relationship. Ben is the show's antihero, but no one has explored the romantic aspects of an antihero. While he was redeemed on the show there was never a romantic element (at least in the regular 'verse). I love reading fics where he finds love with someone, especially Kate.

This pairing is really growing on me. I like the idea that they just get comfortable with each other.

The last line is great, and so Kate. You got her voice down perfectly. :)
