Seems we're all busy, and oh, I was introduced to Calvin Harris' I Created Disco by the SO, which reminded me of you. '80s electro-clash on crack in a sane way' would be the best way of describing it. Why'd your ma apologise? Anyway, hope to grab you for a chat sometime! *huggles*
If I'd been born a mere two months and eighteen days earlier then '80s electro-clash on crack in a sane way' would probably be quite a good way to describe me, although I'm not actually on crack. :D
We'd had an argument: or rather, my mother ranted at me for a while about the fact that I didn't have a real job and other people had to and had made no efforts to sort out my life and that I was a failure etcetera etcetera for ten minutes whilst I stayed mostly silent (with the odd acerbic comment). Once she'd stopped I went and carried on mowing the lawn (the results of which might interest you) to get a bit of fresh air and avoid doing anything foolish. A while later she came out and apologised, because my father had pointed out that that morning I had in fact found out the details of a training course that I need to do, chased up a work experience application, been up before seven for my job, got another paper round for the following week, delivered leaflets and run a couple of business errands for him in between. Sometimes letting

You have got to hear! It's so you in a way that it's XD
I note a possible spelling error in the poem but apart from that, your hobby of greens was delightfully described and soothingly apt. There's a bit more concrit there, but my exhausted brain can't piece the words for it at the moment. Also, thanks for pointing it out. I realise that I am more than 1000 entries behind on my f-page and unless nudged for the occasional look in the past 2 weeks or able to catch time for a peek, I've probably missed out on a lot. Whoopsie.
Also, sometimes having other people communicate for oneself does work wonders indeed. Or not but even then, the end results can be amusing. Like when I lost a mere decorative ring today and somehow, the story became transformed into losing an engagement ring and much nosiness all round in clinic XD
BusybusyBimbly! *squishes him tight, pinches his cheeks and steals his glasses* I've been amassing an army or swans, wallabies and seducing others to my mischief etcetera. Whoo, we've been busy and now I can pass

Ooh! Ack! Where? (And I think that that's one of the first times that people have thanked me for my terrible habit of attacking them with genocidal poems. Um. And there's more where that came from. Well. Not genocidal ones, but one's apocalyptical and one is somewhat thematically similar if chronologically misplaced. Er.)
Ooh, that does sound exciting. :D Maybe there's going to be a whip-round? :P
Nono, glasses! Need them to see! Ackno! Although I may very soon be getting contact lenses. Even though am v. v. lazy. Still. I need those to READ LIVE READ. Also, swans are awesome and majestic. Can I have one as a bodyguard?
:D I watched School Reunion this morning, quite where the slashes and the commas should go between Mickey, Rose and Ten is making my head burst. Also, Sarah Jane is the awesomenesses. There is so much cool stuff around that she could do...
It isn't so much the waking-you-up part that I feel so bad about -- it's more the speaking-to-you-on-the-phone- and-somehow-forgetting-to-remember-that-it- might-be-a-good-idea-to-mention-the-fact- that-my-phone-has-a-rather-loud-alarm- that-goes-off-every-weekday-morning-at- an-ungodly-hour-and-that-you-might-like-to-try-to-turn-it-off part that makes me feel guilty. I mean, if you had killed someone as a result I could be liable for gross criminal negligence... :p
Also, I no longer have the right to describe my appearance as 'something between a youthful Albert Einstein growing a beard and a dandelion-clock', which is a tragedy in itself.
TRAGIC INDEED. Why would you ever, ever give up this opportunity? I am ashamed!
BUT. DOCTOR WHO. THAT MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER. The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances are likely my favourite Who episodes yet (Blink & The Girl in the Fireplace also). Also Billie Piper really is fantastic: I don't know what it is I love about Rose, but I know that I love Rose. Also your shipping preferences are pretty much spot on. When you reach the end of S3 (however long that might take) your Jack/Nine (well, it'll be Jack/Ten, but still) will be reaffirmed, I promise.
How was The Ruby in the Smoke miniseries, by the way? If it's any good I'll try to acquire it -- I remember loving that Pullman trilogy when I read it years ago and thinking it was unfair that it got no press, unlike his other one.
For the record, I think that Northern Lights is justified in being retitled 'cause

I was being prodded and prodded and prodded and came to the conclusion that being able to roll out of bed twenty seconds ago without people being very aware of that fact (well, more than twenty seconds because it takes more that twenty seconds to wake up and get dressed and go to somewhere where the people are but that is not the point) because my hair gives new meaning to the word rumpled (such as 'fractal' and 'an excellent demonstration of the vagaries involved in the interplay between chaos theory and quantum mechanics') so I got it cut, and also it made my sister's dream come true, which is not something that I get to say very often and have it be actually literally true. Also it makes my beard (which no is not really a real beard but nonetheless has certainly moved past stubble and is hovering at the point where fluff needs trimming microscopically with scissors to prevent it whisping which really does look silly and I'm going into such great detail here that it would probably be more sensible just to make my beard a seperate

... Anthony, I'm pretty sure that in order to be subtext, it actually has to be, you know. Subtext. And subtext =/= an entire paragraph that screams, "COMMIT ME TO THE ASYLUM! IT'LL BE BETTER FOR US ALL!"
Not that said paragraph is a bad thing. :DD
Also if you made a beard!blog I would read it JUST FOR KICKS.
Also I am glad that your sister's dream came true, but dreams coming true? Not always a good thing. Yesterday I dreamed that one of my friends took me out to go get high (?!). Sometimes, I really worry about my subconscious (but not nearly as often as I worry about yours).
In any case. Tooth & Claw and School Reunion made my second-class favourites list. (My "single favourite episode" list consists of nine episodes (yes I can count, really), divided into first, second and third place.)
... You are done new Who?! ALREADY?! IT TOOK ME HALF A YEAR! (If you liked the Master, according to bruadar and ressie_noldo you are supposed to watch Life On Mars. They are prodding me v. enthusiastically

*punches air* Yes, good, well done. :D
And oh, stop feeling guilty for waking me up! I will admit it was somewhat impressive.

*clears throat* :-P
As for the rest: *hugs* for the bad bits (I actually stared. I haven't stared at writing since Harry Potter 7) and "Yay!" for the good bits.
Especially Dr Who!!! :-D

I was so tempted to make one on reading that sentence, you know. For several seconds. :D
Well, I haven't done all of S3; I have a relatively slow net connection, so it's a bit of a pain in the posterior to download stuff en masse...
