It's a while since we've had a random quote around here. This is Anthony Trollope on Frederick Marryat, but it makes me think of someone else too :)

This has me chasing round for a random quote to return - and alas the one I want is eluding me - and the ones I can find do not do justice

volgivagant has just joined in - and I have found it with that inspiration - not about Archie - though the above could be - but something very lovely I read today on the way home from Cambridge ..
