Which also means that Mr Bush is wearing nothing but his shirt several paragraphs later during the touching scene with Mr Hornblower?

He could only shake his head a little, smiling because of the sense of comfort and security conveyed by Hornblower's hands.

And just where exactly are Mr Honblower's hands at this point? Hmn?

Well, there's important stuff going on. Sometimes you've got to sacrifice decency for the sake of the ship! ;)

Perhaps that's his secret. I imagine it would be quite distracting to try and fight a man with no pants on :p

He's lucky it was just his leg that ended up being cut off, trousers were created for a reason, Mr. Bush!

*rofl* I should have read Lieutenant Hornblower more attentively. Wouldn't have guessed that there was so much to miss!

That reminds me of a scene in The Commodore where Hornblower is too preoccupied to put his clothes back on after his deck shower and stands naked on deck for an hour or so! Heaven knows what that did to the poor crew... :p

For an hour??! *speechless*

I would have expected better of Mr Hornblower. He'll catch his death standing about in the scud like that!
