Oh, hi! I've been pretty scarce lately, haven't I? Sorry. My job gets in the way of my work sometimes. I've updated
AntaBaka Studios.com with a new section, though! It's called Colored Works (Others Lines), and it's in the Art sub-menu on the Sidebar.
Under this new section are a number of inked line-work others have done which I have colored (with the artists blessing, of course), and the links go direct to the image on my
DeviantArt account,
riyo-nakamori. Some of the art will be linked/shown under a cut-tag at the bottom of this post.
On that note, it seems I'm also getting into coloring for comics. I've just finished coloring my first page of
Move Like a Butterfly, a super-awesome Venture Bros. fan-comic about 21 and some henchmen. I giggle-squee over 69, he's epic-awesome!
Move Like a Butterfly was created by
Tigerman-exe on
DeviantArt. Super cool. Take a look through the gallery!
When I first started drawing back in 1999 or so, I never dreamed I would be working on a comic at any point, ever. The more I get into art, though, the more comics seems like the way to go for me. I'm a decent writer, I can edit, and my coloring is improving more and more as I continue to work with others lines. And now things are starting to fall into place, and
Tigerman-exe says they might have an in for me with a comic company doing an actual comic industry gig, editing or coloring, or something. We'll see how this develops. If I can get into this gig full-time, I think I can die happy. Comics and Graphic Novels are one of my favorite media, so it would be (and is) an honor and a privilege for me to be able to actually work on creating something like that.
That being said, enjoy some of my recent color jobs:
