Oh no! Poor Yun-sensei. What a great reason for him to fly back and forth, but oh, his mother. That's just so ... heart-breaking. I'm very glad to hear he's going to get a nephew! The old ones leave, and they make room for the new.

Wow, Yun-sensei! Don't see too much of him. This fic pleasantly surprised me, especially because the beginning had me confused initially - I thought you meant the old woman was leaning over him to lean across the aisle at first, and got really confused about why he was getting up for the other woman until I realized that their seats were reversed. Once that was straightened out, though, it was beautiful. Nicely done!

i always liked yun-sensei, so it's a nice surprise to see a story about him. he struck me as the perfect teacher: kind yet treating his students as feeling, thinking beings who are responsible for their choices. i also sympathize with his acknowledgment of his own limitations as a pro. not everyone can be an akira or a shindou.

thank you!! *blushes* and i agree completely. he seems to be the perfect teacher for someone who is passionate about go, because his love of go is quite pure as well. and yeah... with the three fics i did, i wanted to cover... someone who had to give up on the dream of going pro, someone who was sort of... middle of the road, and someone at the top that we don't see too much in fic. ^_~
