Looking forward to the sequel, poor Waya, I feel so bad for him - he doesn't expect Shindou to want to stay with him, but then when he has hope it becomes something else. I feel bad for Isumi too, because it feels like he's playing the rebound role. THERE HAD BETTER BE A HAPPY ENDING IN THE END. I AM ON TO YOU. <3
I really, really liked this. And yes, I do want more. This was like a trainwreck -- I couldn't tear my eyes away. It was just so painful to watch and I kept wanting to yell at the characters.
I also found myself wanting to punch Shindou and Touya for Waya. Which is unusual for me since they are two of my favorite Hikago characters.
And agreeing with Anon - there had better be a continuation of this after the author reveal.
I'm sorry that you didn't like it, but I guess you just can't please everybody, heh. It's definitely much more realistic and full of the dark and dirty parts of real life than my usual Hikago pieces, and a lot of people are not looking for this kind of real worldview in their fiction. I get that. I assure you that this is certainly not written in the spirit of cheap drama - it is written in the spirit of the difference between lust and love; between infatuation and real emotion. It is, in many ways, an adaptation of several different real experiences I've had - at least one directly related experience pertaining to each of the four main characters - combined to reflect the way people act in real life, which is very much not always in accordance to what they know they should do, or even what they have previously said or decided they would do. Humans are fallible creatures, and Himerus and Eros captures both the best and the worst moments of the human condition

Even if you didn't realize the attitude you were presenting to the world - and I'm sure not many people bother to break down the mechanics behind this kind of condescension quite as thoroughly as I do, being not everyone has interests in literary analysis - you clearly felt the need to let me know that my story was unworthy without bothering to cite any examples or explanations beyond the vague and unexplained label 'too much cheap drama.' In the future, if this is the sort of comment you'd like to make, you're better off not leaving one at all - while some places are lenient, this is the literary equivalent of a flame
