Washington was nice. It is a beautiful and clean place. I spent much of it travelling from mountains to rainforests to beaches. I'm a little bit disappointed that some of the disposable cameras did not come out at all and one of my rolls was completely fuzzy and under exposed ( Read more... )

but who the fuck would i be if it were. i know i could be forgotten, and on some level i find that comforting. people are idiots and sluts. all afraid and just seeking validation. for some reason, it seems easier to deny what we know (that someone you're no longer close to didn't suddenly become a fuckup) and instead of accepting the perfectly excusable misjudgements and moving on still cherishing the good times (when s/he wasn't being a total douchebag), we escape into the first shithole we encounter.

I dunno if you knew this or not because it's been a while since you posted this but... the band sleater-kinney are from portland/olympia and named themselves after the street.
