Yamamoto does explain later what Gokudera is like this far into the future in terms of his role in life. He's not so in denial that he and Yamamoto are more than just plain business acquaintances...but at the same time, he has a job to do that takes up all of his time and energy. Yamamoto knows this; that's why he doesn't push. This is, after all, what Gokudera has wanted since he vowed to serve Tsuna.

I can see gokudera acting like this, loosing it then almost overcompensating and pulling out his mulish stubbornness. Yeah really enjoyed it and hope you do post the next one

I - wow. Um. That's quite a compliment. I'm glad that you like it, since I've actually put in some serious time for this fic (instead of my usual shorter stuff).

He can be cold "by accident", I think (Gokudera, I mean). He's just spent so much of his life doing it - I just hope the thought process behind this doesn't get cluttered by all the things that tears Gokudera's attention into fifty different directions.

XD Dog! I love the dog, he's based off of my own dog. Adorable and irritating and yet somehow, I feel uplifted and fulfilled when I take care of him. And no, Gokudera pretty much fails at anything social except interaction with the people he already knows. That's where Yamamoto usually steps in...
