Long freakin' day

Just got done with a 9-hour exam. If I failed it and have to take it again, then I'm quitting med school. Not like I'd get into any sort of residency with a failed score anyway.

People never tell you about the soul-sucking fatigue and general apathy that comes with the med school thing. Although, I never would've believed them if they had told me

One painful step at a time. I'm really too deep in the hole to stop at this point.

I hope so. I've never had luck with standardized test. I get horrible test anxiety.

A good majority of your posts (especially referring to the long hours, studying, and exams) make me really glad I abandoned my idealistic plan to become a doctor xD;;

I try not to sugarcoat any of it. Granted, there's been some really great moments, but sometimes it's just so hard to look past all the crap and remember those moments.

Sadists. Also known as the National Board of Medical Examiners. It's like a test of endurance, on top of a test of every medical fact you've ever learned (and some you haven't).
