do you remember what professor lupin said to harry in book 3? when harry says that he's afraid of dementors and not voldemort, lupin says that harry is wise because it shows the only thing he fears is fear itself.

so yea basically, pretty women, spiders, and heights aren't on that list. especially women.

haha... I know that "the only thing we have to fear, is fear itself"... but that doesn't quite work for me... I thought I was doing pretty good by having a list that was only 3 items long, and now you're telling me I need to whittle it down to one? sheesh! lol... I'd rather face a dementor or Voldemort than ask a random girl for her number... hell, even without being magic, I'd have a better chance at the first two... haha...

I think Victoria said it best... the worst thing that can happen is she might say no. However, by not even asking her you are sending her a signal that you aren't interested. I can oddly relate to you in a sense, I am a car salesman(i'm not sure what you sell but it's all pretty much the same) so alot of it is selling yourself first, then the product second. For the longest time I was very insecure and unsure of myself, especially around girls I thought were attractive. I'm not quite sure what happened, but eventually I just got out of my rut and started talking and flerting more and now i'm pretty comfortable around girl(friends or otherwise). I doubt that will help any, but hey, it can't hurt :)
