Also I am a bit envious that you have a mystery seminar, although perhaps not so much, given what they're making you read. Is it a seminar about writing mystery novels, or the history of mystery novels, or what?
I just finished The Cuckoo's Calling and have a post about it knocking about, so perhaps I will save that a few days so I can chat about it with you! I'm definitely hoping that Rowling writes more mystery novels; I think her strengths are really well suited to the genre.

I'm not entirely sure I'd consider Leonard Peacock a mystery, but we'll see.
Talking about Cuckoo's Calling sounds like a lot of fun! I hope I'll get it done before the weekend so I can binge on mysteries then. I absolutely agree that Rowling is a natural mystery writer.

I am super excited about Allegiant, even though I also liked Insurgent much less than Divergent. Still looking forward to seeing how it all ends. I want to get that, and House of Hades soon. Oh, and I also would like to finally read both A Casual Vacancy and Cuckoo's Calling.
Have you read any Scalzi? I'm currently almost done with The Android's Dream and it is ridiculous and fantastic.

I liked MoA a lot, although yes- big cliffhanger. Heh.
