I finished the fourth Sookie novel by Charlaine Harris. OMG - the amount of love I have for Eric and Sam is astounding. Love. I was going to start reading The Neverending Story by Michael Ende, but I just can't seem to get into the reading mood after reading for the majority of the afternoon

I still need to acquire and read the Trinity Blood manga. I never made it through the anime, but I've heard that's not unusual and that the manga is a billion times better.

Manga's not too great. Too much added Abel/Esther material PLUS butchering Esther's backbone until recently. I suggest the novels and skip the Manga until volume 9 for Gunmental Hound and wait for volume 10+ when Esther finally comes out the closet, recovers her backbone and meets Shahrzad al-Rahman.

Well, crap. I've been looking in wrong places left and right. I had no idea there were novels. I've seen the manga volumes at Borders, but no novels unless I overlooked them. I'll have to order them online.

I'm so glad you are enjoying the Sookie books. I like Sam's character, but much prefer Eric and Bill, as they are vampires and therefore devious. Charlaine Harris develops her characters nicely, I think, and doesn't make them do strange and out of character things like some authors I could name *coughLKHcough*.
