I'M ONLY HERE FOR THAT WONDERFUL B/J KISS. ♥

And thank you for using LJ-cut for AI! :D
I accidentally opened my flist before managing to watch it and that usually leads to being spoiled for anything, lol.

Anywhoo - I'm okay with Kris winning. Mostly because -as gay & fabulous as he is- I'm not really into Adam's music. The only Adam's performance I liked this season was "Mad world" in the finale, I pretty much hated everything else, sorry. :( However, I did find him very fascinating/entertaining and his slashy bromance with Kris is stuff of legend.

I choose to believe that homophobia had nothing to do with it. I don't want to get worked up over it, lol.

Glad you like Glee! :D I thought it was great too. I'm sorry I watched the trailer because it gave everything away, but otherwise I think it's going to be a great show. The performances were awesome!

Who isn't? :D

You can believe whatever you want, all I know it's a victory for the homophobes and bigots and that fucking sucks. But at least Adam will still be out there being amazing.

I looooove it! Can't wait to see what they do next (didn't see the trailer).

While objectively Adam is very talented, subjectively, his voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I think he lost more because of casual views tuning in for the finale and because he was way over pimped. He'll be fine, though.

Thanks for the House vid recs, and good luck on your last final!

I sincerely doubt it, but whatever you want to believe. It could also be because America doesn't recognize an amazing thing when they see one and that sucks as well.

Thanks!

Plus Victor Garber and Kristin Chenowith are getting reoccuring roles

THIS SHOW IS THE GREATEST. Oh my God, it's like they sat down and thought what, specifically, would make me the happiest camper in the entire world. AND THEN THEY MADE IT INTO A TV SHOW.

But this just feels like another slap in the face for anybody out there that's ever been discriminated against because of homophobia.

Exactly. Adam was the best singer there (the other comments made me go WHAT!? because the guy has incredible range and control, and was, seriously, SO much better than anyone else, it was kind of embarrassing), and yet the Christian-supported contestant ended up winning. Paula said exactly what I was thinking: whoever gets Danny's (the other Christian-supported contestant eliminated last week) votes would win, and I'm sorry, you can't tell me it's a coincidence.

Still, a number of AI winners have gone on to be mediocre or mostly forgotten, and that sure as hell won't happen to Adam. He has a huge career ahead.

Right exactly, he was by far the best so it's such complete bullshit that he'd lose like that. I am definitely sure he'll be insanely successful, that'll show them.

I feel like Glee was kind of made for me to love it, what with the high school setting and overall stylized queerness of the aesthetic and the outsiders ban together for glory OMG YES. All of that is made to make me love it! I actually forgot that it was only a special preview and not the actual pilot kicking off the season, and I was so bummed when I remembered! :(

Me too! It's perfect for me. I really hate that we have to wait for fall but I'm hoping that will help it build up viewers.
