So I don't watch the show but I checked the results and FUCKING DAMN YOU AMERICA! Or should I say the disgusting bigoted part of it. Ughhh. I only got into it yesterday when I was introduced to the hotness that is Adam Lambert. And yummy slashiness that is Adam/Kris.
Anyways, I'm mad because just because Adam is/is perceived to be gay the fucking religous bigots got their masses to vote against him. I have no problem with the people who voted for Kris because they liked him the best. But this just feels like another slap in the face for anybody out there that's ever been discriminated against because of homophobia. It's the principle of the thing, Adam didn't need to win this and he's probably better off without it. But to have him WIN it would be this amazing thing for America and it makes me sick that it was taken away. I feel bad for Kris because it wasn't a fair competition and you can't say he won based only on his fans alone. But whatever, Adam's the best in my book and nothing will change that.
Ugh stupid fucking show, now I remember why I don't get invested in it.
In other news, last final is tomorrow. A bit worried because my motivation has dropped down to almost zero. Thankfully it shouldn't be too hard but I do really want an A in this class. Finished my two hardest finals on Monday and think I did well enough for at least a B on both of them so I'm okay. In better college news, I'm changing my major. I was frustrated because my major wasn't artistically creative enough and none of the other majors fit me so I decided to create my own major. Going to do a Web Design major combining art and computer science so I'm really excited about it. Going back to NY on Saturday night, I think I'll be okay for the summer. If anyone in the LA area wants to meet up Friday evening/night, let me know. In other good news, I do these economic experiments for money and I won 100 dollars last week! It was amazing, I had 20 chances to pick a number from 1-100 and if the random computer picks the number, then I win and I picked 43 and did! Sooo nice.
GLEE!! It certainly made me gleeful. I will give Fox mad props for airing Glee after American Idol where it fits in perfectly.
Awwwwww. I LOVE it! I am such a sucker for music. The Rehab one was my favorite but that end song was so perfect *loves them all* And You're the One That I Want! I think I love the "background" singers the most right now, Mercedes being Beyonce, Tina being Katy Perry and Kurt (he reminded me of Kurt from The Sound of Music and of course, he's played him! And was named after him) loving Marc Jacobs were wonderful. Loved Finn saving him and Arty and his arc to do both Glee and football. Kinda slashy with his football friend, I must say. And Rachel is adorable, love her having gay dads and being totally into the singing and Myspace. Needs to turn off the trying too hard with Finn thing though. I love all the quirky characters. And the acapella music in the background is wonderful. Will is cute but ughh why is he with his wife? I love outsiders ban together for glory stories so I can't wait to see what happens. Plus Victor Garber and Kristin Chenowith are getting reoccuring roles :D Don't stop believing, glee club, we're going to Nationals! I loved the little balcony appearances too, dun dun dun...
In short, I am completely in love with it and I have a new show, yay! I am so sad I missed the preview in Santa Monica with the cast but sadly SoCal public transportation SUCKS. Ah well, I'm sure it'll be at Paley next year. This helps the lonely sad hole that Pushing Daisies left in my heart. Yes, I finally watched the final episode and it reminded me why I love the show so much. I may have teared up at the end. Damn you, ABC. And speaking of, I tried Cupid but sadly the female lead was horrible. So NOT my Claire Allen. The Trevor guy was good but the difference between Jeremy Piven and him was striking since Piven is so amazing. Poor, poor show.
I had one of those rare vid match making sessions the other day as I was able to pair a vid idea I want to do with a song that I thought would be great to vid to. And it TOTALLY works. I'm so excited that I went and vidded the ending since it works so well. Here's two House vid recs: I Just Want You by inkytips is a super cute House/Wilson vid that pretty much sums up exactly what I believe about their relationship. It uses some of the wonderful S5 clips with a nostalgic look back at past seasons. I like the pacing on it too. I also like Meds by scully1121, a great more character focused House vid (although a bit too much House/Cuddy for me personally but that's just me) about obviously, House and vicodin. I love the jump cut editing and use of imagery. HUGE spoilers for the S5 finale so don't watch if you plan to.
