I love this show! (OMG what am I saying?)

Yesterday I finished S1 of How I Met Your Mother. Somewhere along the way I fell in love with the show and I don't know how. After finishing episode eight, I was ready to break up with the show as I found it generally unfunny and the characters mostly blah, pretty normal white people who I couldn't really relate to. And Barney who I initially loved

Man, I loved the show from the staaart. ;P But YAY I'm so glad it won you over! It only gets better and better, I feel. :D And oh, Lily/Marshall are SO OTP and I love them so much and I'm so GLAD you like Ted! It seems like not many people do, and yay.

I am! I am now on the one where we finally see Barney's apartment. And it's hilarious! I'm glad it won me over as well. I'm so easy for good shows. Lily/Marshall are definitely cute and I'm slowly won me over as well. The breakup did them some good in terms of interesting plotlines for me. And Ted is adorable, how could I not like him? I didn't think I would at first but-wait for it-he won me over. I am so glad there are more episodes and it keeps going in directions I very much approve of.

HEE! HIMYM = AWESOME.

I think the show definitely found it's footing towards the end of the first season and then it just TOOK OFF like a wonderful cannon of confetti and awesome. The second season is infinitely better than the first, because yeah, the first block of episodes do drag and then you get to "Zip Zip Zip" and it's like SNEAK ATTACK FAVORITE! climbing up your Great TV Shows List.

It really did! I'm so thankful I stuck it out. And now the second season is consistently great so I'm happy. Definitely a sneak attack favorite kind of show. And now I get my Flist's love of the show!

And re: the laugh track, they actually do not film the show in front of a studio audience, instead add it in...which I thought was kinda bizarre. But, I still love the sitcom-y vibe of the show :)

That's so dumb. I wish I could at least watch it live to make it worth it. But at least now the audience is actually laughing at things I find funny most of the time so I don't mind so much anymore.

HIMYM!!! I haven't seen most of the first season -- I kinda just skipped around with this one rather than watching in order, and I've seen a lot more of season two. But oh, I love it so, so much! I always assumed it was really stupid, and I'm so surprised by how funny and clever and charming it is. And Barney. I don't even know what to say about Barney. Other than that he is THE GREATEST.

And I somehow wound up shipping Barney/Robin right away, in a "They are both awesome and it would be so great if they hooked up" kind of way that was based on like two seconds of interaction, and then I just recently saw "Zip Zip Zip" and almost died of glee.

I know! I thought it was kind of stupid in that way I expect sitcoms to be now but it isn't! Yeah Barney is made of awesome and I keep falling. You've seen the one with him and Lily in his apartment right? I just about died with glee. And yeah, Barney/Robin just works in that way. In this show, I would even believe it. When a show starts pairing up couples that don't normally get a lot of screen time, I'm always impressed.

And OMG ROBIN SPARKLES!!! I *just* saw it and my jaw had permanently dropped to the floor. LOL and wow. Now that is crazy comedy.

Oh, dude, yes, I loved the Lily-in-Barney's-apartment episode so much! It was so hilarious, and weirdly sweet, too. I love these characterssss.

ROBIN SPARKLES!! SO AMAZING. I still don't know how to process it. And now, I am pretty sure I have to go watch that scene on YouTube again.

Yeah that one rocketed up to my second favorite episode based on that plot line and the Marshall's accidental gay side plot which were both so, *so* good.

It's the kind of thing you can't believe actually exists. And it's ROBIN! I never would have guessed. I think I need to see it again too. Whoa.

I know, I'm so happy about that :D Sometimes it just takes me (and the show) awhile to connect. And gives me reason to not give up so soon on other shows. Thanks for your part in encouraging me!
