1. Not the best sentences I read this week, but certainly the most mysterious. Re: the genus Helichrysum:

Their leaves are oblong to lanceolate. They are flat and pubescent on both sides. The bristles of the pappus are scabrous, barbellate, or plumose.

Well, yes, clearly!

Those first sentences! I loved the words. They felt like running fuzzy fat leaves over your tongue. Mmhmm.

I feel like there's a poem embedded in that sentence. I love botanical terminology!

*laughs triumphantly* I was right! When I first read that I got my pronouns reversed, because anyone who says, "I'm pretty amazing" in bed has to be a Kirk, so when I realized what I'd done I realized that had to be Winona, and I hoped it was Pike.

Well done! They totally sound like themselves. :D

Eee, thank you! It's their fault, really. They started having phone sex in my head and they would not stop talking.

(And yes! Being amazing in bed and freely admitting it is definitely a Kirk family trait. :) )
