Date: March 20, 2003 Character(s): George Weasley and Katie Bell Location: Fred and George's Apartment Status: Private Summary: TBA Completion: Incomplete
George woke up from a wonderful deep slumber induced by the last round of sex that left him pleasantly exhausted or maybe it was the hours they'd talked beforehand but either way, George thought that if this was a dream he never wanted to wake up. He had to though but before he opened his eyes, he rolled over toward Katie's side of the bed and found himself face first in her pillow
( ... )
None of this was coming together the way she had hoped. Katie let out a frustrated sigh as she absently stroked Bludger's course fur. She worried her lower lip as she read and re-read old Welsh folktales. Tossing her long hair over her shoulder, she hunched over, squinting to read the small print. A loud noise from the bedroom startled her and she looked up, eyes wide.
"What in the name of Merlin," she murmured. Her eyes widened even more as George came stumbling out of the room. She shook her head, smiling in response to his antics. When he settled down she ran her fingers through his messy hair and grinned. "I don't believe so," she murmured, tracing his jaw with her fingertips. She shoved her work aside and participated fully in his romantic kiss. His lips were soft and smooth and she sighed against his mouth.
She regrettably pulled away and dropped a light, lingering kiss on his mouth. "You're up fairly early," she said, keeping her voice low. "Any particular reason?"
"Bludger's foot stomped down rather close to George's crotch at George's intrusion. George liked the dog but it seemed Bludger was in competition with him for Katie's attention and while he was lying on her lap, his eyes narrowed a bit at the dog who gave him a fairly hard stare...for a dog...back and then nudged even closer to Katie, using the old 'butt her with my body and she'll pet me more' trick

"I love you too," she said, smiling and tucking her hair behind her ear. Bludger rubbe himself along her back and side, pushing hard. She wobbled some and rolled her eyes at her rather large puppy. As soon as George vacated her lap, Bludger huffed and laid his big head on her thigh. Katie scratched his ears and blushed when she thought of the location of her bra.
"Shut it," she said, nudging him back. Katie reached out and picked up her parchment of notes. "Nothing really," she said, shrugging and leaning into him. "Was just going through some of my old books to see what I could possibly find out about Annwn. Maybe stumble over something that has to do with whatever it is or at least mention it..."
She looked over at him and smiled. "I've found some stuff in Welsh mythology but I'm not sure how far it will get me." She frowned. "I didn't wake you did I?" she asked, concerned.
Katie could feel his mood change and she wanted to take him in her arms and hold him. She stepped in front of him, trying to block him from those painful images. Her fingers traced his face and his watery eyes unnerved her. "Hey," she said softly, kissing him lightly on the lips. "It's okay. It's over

"Oh, I know." He said quietly and swallowed hard. "It's tough to relive but I can feel it fading because you're here with me." George smiled, a bit more brightly than after she'd kissed him. "I've never really talked about Fred dying because it hurt too much. So I stored it away for years. I thought I could drink it away but that didn't work, so I just isolated myself from others

Katie pulled him close, resting her head in the crook of his shoulder. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you," she said, her voice muffled in his shoulder. Everyone was so distant and torn apart by what happened that they'd all seemed to close up. Their bond had been torn apart and yet had managed to put itself back together. True love and friendship survived even the worst of times, even without being physically there.
A lifetime together. That sounded wonderful. She pulled away and kissed his jaw. "I know I can," she said. She knew that they'd always be able to talk, to share and cherish their memories with one another. They had entirely too much history not to. Her stomach flip-flopped and her breath hitched when he mentioned children. It was something she'd never thought about. Children. With George. The loud bangs pulled her out of her thoughts and she heard a whistling noise before pushing them against the wall as something whizzed past them

It was the toilet seat flying past his head that made George pause before a spear skittered between his legs, throwing up sparks as it struck the stone floor. "I never thought our second date would turn out like this." George grinned at Katie and then took off again as a spoon came flying by his head being chased by a fork. It was surreal being with the woman he loved while being chased by suits of armor who were tossing everything but the..." The kitchen sink flew by them then
