Back from York

And goodness, I am sleepy.

For reasons of mostly not wanting to lose my Sunday to driving back from York, bringeroflight and I drove back from Shek and Emma's wedding last night. We actually made good time. We left around 10.30 pm, I think and I got home around 2.30 am real time and 1.30 am freshly adjusted time. So, all good, even if my driving was getting a ( Read more... )

It was an amazing speech. I actually lost the ability to breathe at one point and I still don't know if that was because I was laughing or because I was terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought at what he might say next. I kept thinking he'd finished and then he continued. And it got worse.

It was truly truly astonishing. And 'epic' in a non-internet sized way. I swear, best men forever will tell tales of that speech, late at night, as the fire burns low. Grooms will view it as a hideous warning of what can happen and brides will dream restlessly and fearfully of it before their wedding night.
